The more I learn about the Boston Public School system, the more it appears that the result of the bussing for desegregation was simply a complicated system of wallhacks that maintain the status quo.

Windows 10 Technical Preview just had a pretty awesome update roll out. I'm liking the features that Microsoft is beginning to import from other OS, like unified notification management and multiple desktop support. Very slick.

According to the NYPD, the majority of their job is unnecessary. “Everyone here is under orders — no time off” during the summons catch-up blitz, said one cop at the 105th Precinct in Queens. “And the majority of [new] summonses written aren’t protecting the public in any way. “But now they’re realizing how much revenue the city is losing and they’re enforcing their will upon us” That's the best part - a cop complaining about the city enforcing it's will on them when their job is exactly will enforcement.
